How To Help
Do you have ideas for materials or programs you'd like us to provide?
Is there a particular book we don't have that you'd like us to try to get?
If you are interested in helping us Financially:
Adopt a Bookshelf program:
Individuals or organizations can join the Adopt a Bookshelf program by donating $100 on an annual basis. For your contribution, a brass plaque engraved with your name (or organization's name), or the name of someone you wish to honor or remember, will be placed on a shelf in the library. You may choose the area of the library where you want your plaque. This donation contributes to the day to day operating expenses of the library.
We also have Adopt an Author and Adopt a Favorite programs.
Buy from us: We have items available for sale! (Prices given are suggested donations)
- A Book of Recipes: bound cookbooks of favorite recipes of our volunteers ($12)
- "I Support My Community Library" Plates: printed metal plates suitable for display on your vehicle or around the home ($5)
- Used Books for Sale: Children's Books $0.10 each, Adult hardcovers and paperbacks $0.25 each, or Fill A Bag for $3
And of course, other financial donations are always welcome!
The Friends of the Mount Union Library

The Friends raise money through various activities to keep the library in operation.
If you would like to donate books:
please note that we cannot accept textbooks,
and can only accept books that are gently used (no missing pages or covers, no water damage, etc.).
Books we can't use in our collection will go into our Used Book Sale area.
